Hello? Sorry It's Been A While!

I know, I haven't posted in a week, maybe more! I've been busy! I've picked up more hours at work because the show didn't go as well as hoped. So I'm working 40 hours this week. Maybe the whole month if I do a good job in the Dairy Frozen Department. It's D/Frozen month and they need the help!
So back to the show with pictures of the booth! Here's the space we work with before we put anything into it!
Don't we have a nice view of the other wing? Plus the stairs and porch areas leading to the spa!

So here's the display board and all the other stuff to make the magic happen. I get to guard while my husband brings it in! woohoo!
Here it is with all the merchandise. Kind of dark and we don't leave the iMac box there, my husband transports the computer to and from the show. We are very high tech and can print out receipts while the customer's pay! The clocks are not fully done by my husband, he just does the copper work on them.
The show had lots of people but they were uneducated about the Arts & Crafts movement. An antique dealer friend of ours said the stuff he's been toting around for years because it's junk sold out! The people who were buying it thought it was a steal. So it goes to show you that someone's trash is someone else's treasure.
My husband had way too many high end items and not enough middle to low end pieces. Plus I'm really bored with what he's doing. I told him I was uninspired by his work lately and he needed to move in a different direction. Something like this, which was a custom order!
Bronze bracelet with a silver overlay, chased details and set garnet! It's what Heintz used to do for his vases. Love the green rose vase! Beautiful and a wonderful patina! So my husband has added an etsy shop to his website and blog to drum up sales. Filled the local gallery and thankfully we have 150 switch plates to make!! Woohoo!
Plus we picked up some Ephraim pottery! Plus ornaments which are so freaking cute and cool! I think we picked up my MIL the one with the red berries on it, as a thank you for taking the kids. We choose one that is not on the site but I will take pictures of it and our vase!
Besides of that, I'm trying to finish my very late Christmas socks for my husband but I've ran into big knots in the hank. It's because I decide to make it more transportable by making it into a ball of yarn! Plus bunny ornaments for a local gallery for Easter but I lost my felting needles so I'm waiting for the new ones to arrive!
Have a great week!

Pottery And Projects

I just had to show off what we picked up from the show. Plus show off what we picked up 4 or 5 years ago. It's from Ephraim Faience Pottery and I just love the koi fish.
So the new pot is on the left and I love the color. The shape is perfect and look how the tail flips up over the lip on top. I still love the other pot too. Not as flashy and a different interpretation on the tail but I like how the tail creates an empty space on the lip of the pot. We both love koi fish and these are retired if you are interested in purchasing them. I know the green pot is up on ebay for sale.
We also have a koi plate and a big planter which I think came from the Bombay company. I think my love for this fish came from working for my professor. Who had 2 koi ponds, one in his house and one outside. They are just the neatest fish and it is so cool to watch them eat.
I'm working on multiple projects which is sometimes hard to juggle. Left over yarn socks for my youngest, my brother's scarf and ornaments.
Talking about projects, if you love socks Lotus Knits is doing a sock club. It hasn't started yet but keep checking her blog for details. I am definitely interested in this.
On my trip down I finished the 2nd pair socks from my left over sweater yarn. They are waiting to be washed and they really not worth taking a picture of. They are that ugly. I knitted them smaller because I've noticed that the first pair fit perfect at first. Now that I wear them a lot they are stretching out. They don't seem to be bouncing back even after washing them. They are knit from Mission Falls 1824 wool and I've noticed that the sweaters I knit for my daughter's seem to really stretch too much. So it's probably the yarn not me.

Back In NY

Whew what a long day!  We drove back today and it was a nice uneventful trip back.  Unlike our trip down, where we saw 9 accidents.  That's too many accidents but they weren't fatal and it was usually just one car that lost control at a time.
I took pictures and hope they came out.  I didn't have time to check.  The inn, is so big, it was like point, shoot, go!  We went to a few lectures and then had to run to eat and then be in our booth to start selling.  My feet hurt in places that I didn't know that could hurt.
We picked up some Ephraim Pottery a piece for us and a thank you for my MIL.  Who is soooo awesome!  I came home to a clean house, (she scrubbed my sinks!  All 4 of them), flowers and clean children.  What more could an exhausted parent ask for?
I love our pot.  I have a soft spot for fish and this will look great next to our other pot.  I'll take pictures.
