This is the first year that I'm growing zucchini and well this one got lost in the vines and leaves. I haven't had that many flowers become squash because the critter's around here like eating the flowers! So when I found this baby hiding where all the vines twisted out in different directions, I was jumping for joy. Unfortunately if you let them get this big you can't use a knife to cut through it. A chain saw is need and well power tools like that are not allowed in the kitchen. So I cut a quarter of it and sent the rest to the compost. My youngest was not happy that she was having her picture taken with the zucchini! I don't know why, I think at first she thought it was going to be fun. Then after feeling how heavy it was she changed her mind!
I'm in my 30's but still feel 18 on good days. I have two darling daughter's, who compliment me when they want what I'm making. I have a BFA in metal/jewelry but no real desire to do anything with it. I'm technically a SAHM but I work for my husband's business and myself when time permits. So I'm very busy all the time! I love to knit, felt, sew, embroidery, and do crafts. I like a challenge as long as it goes quickly. I'm a mom I have major time constraints! I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up but what I'm doing now is working.
